    Word wheel questions

How do you play the word wheel?

Make as many words as you can from the nine letters on the wheel. Every word must contain the centre letter, be at least four letters long, and use each letter on the wheel no more than once. One word uses all nine letters — finding it is the real prize.

    Are plurals allowed?

No plurals ending in S, the usual rule in printed word wheels. Words that simply end in S, like GLASS or BONUS, still count.

What do Good, Very good and Excellent mean?

They are targets based on today’s total: Good is about 40% of the words, Very good about 60% and Excellent about 80%. Totals change every day because every wheel is different.

    Why wasn’t my word accepted?

It may be missing the centre letter, be shorter than four letters, be a plural ending in S, or not be in our word list. Each day's list sticks to everyday words, so proper nouns, offensive words and very rare or archaic words are left out.

When does a new word wheel appear?

Every day at midnight UTC. Yesterday’s nine-letter word and every answer are listed on this page the next day.
